Start with throughput, not model names

The first useful question is how many pallets must be wrapped in the busiest hour. That number changes the quote lane faster than brand preference.

  • Under light volume, a low-profile turntable may be enough.
  • Moderate volume should include powered prestretch in the quote.
  • Inline flow needs supplier engineering, not a generic cart recommendation.

Keep the load stationary when risk is high

Loads that are heavy, tall, loose or irregular should trigger rotary arm, straddle or ring-style conversations because the pallet does not need to spin on a turntable.

  • Ask for weight and size ratings in writing.
  • Ask how the supplier verifies unstable loads.
  • Do not treat this guide as a safety approval.
